Kickoff Call

Hi! Welcome to Vortx. Congratulations on your new AIMStorefront purchase. It's a pleasure to meet you! With every new AIMStorefront project purchase, we like to reach out to our clients and ask them what they need from their website. We'd also like to gather a little information from you so that we can get your website up and running as quickly and easily as possible.

The first thing that we'll want to talk about is your existing AIM setup. Most of our clients are already using AIM, but not all of them have an AIM Security Computer or an AIM approved Payment Processor to handle their online transactions. Here is the information we'll we talking about in the kickoff call.

  • Do you have AIM? v11 or v12?

  • Do you have an AIM Security Computer - often referred to as and API computer or a C2B machine. This is necessary if you want to use your AIMStorefront for music rentals, or any of the features described in our Premium Features section.

  • Have you signed up for the Active-e services through Tri-Tech?

  • Do you have a payment gateway setup for online transactions?

  • Have you had training from Tri-Tech so that you know how to use AIM to enter in your products and rental items?

If you are unsure about your answers to any of the above bullet points, we will help you contact Tri-Tech until you can answer "yes" to all of the above.

In order for Vortx to get started on your project we're going to ask you for a few more things:

  • Website url. This is the internet address where you intend to take your AIMStorefront live.
    • Is your new site going to replace an existing site?
    • Is your new site going to be launching at a subdomain?
  • Will you focus on Rentals or E-commerce first?
  • Which template should we set you up with as a starting point? (view templates here)
  • Do you need to manage your own DNS?
  • Do you have a target launch date

After the Kickoff call, we'll be creating a staging site for you to work with. The goal of the staging site is for you to fully configure the site before taking it live.

Once we present you with your staging site, you'll need to finish the required setup configurations before you move on to configuring either rentals or your e-commerce products.
