Using an AIM approved Gateway

Modified on Thu, 14 Dec 2023 at 10:28 AM

In order to take payments on your site for rentals or other purposes outside of the cart checkout, you'll need to have an AIM approved payment gateway. While all of the payments take place on the website, AIM will be where the final order is processed. You'll need to be sure you have the payment processor filled out in AIM and in your AIMStorefront.

There are 3 choices you'll have for your payment processors in your AIMStorefront. All three are listed below with contact information for setting up your payment account, as well as which settings you'll need to fill out in the AIMStorefront.

For cart checkout (product sales), you can use either the AIM approved gateways or one of the in-cart payment gateways. Review this article for your setup options.

Tsys

For setting up your Tsys Account, please call 888.509.8429 to talk to a representative there, or email them at StartNow@GlobalPay.com. Be sure that you ask specifically for an "E-commerce Merchant account with Multi-pass". Once you have secured your account from Tsys, they should send you your specific credentials that you can then copy into your store.

One setting to verify with your rep at Tsys is that Tokenization is enabled in your account. If it is not enabled, every order will be refused.

Start by logging into /aesys and then go to Configuration > Settings and search for Tsys. You will be prompted for your

  • Device ID ( AeCCDeviceID - 14 characters long)
  • Webservices Password ( AeCCPassword )
  • Transaction Key ( aeCCTransactionKey - auto populated with first transaction attempt)
  • Processor Type ( aeCCType - You need to enter a single T in the value here)
  • Username ( AeCCUserName )

  • Next, you need to input one more setting. Look up the setting called "aeCCMID" and enter your Merchant ID there. This is typically the first 12 characters of the Device ID.
  • After all values are saved, click the Refresh Store button at the top of the /aesys page.

OpenEdge

For setting up your OpenEdge Account, please email them at StartNow@openedgepay.com or call them at 800-774-6462 x1. You may be prompted to leave a message, please leave your name, phone number, and let them know you'll need an eCommerce processing account for your Tri-Tech AIM website with Active-e

If you already use OpenEdge as a payment processor, call 800-774-6462, Opt 2 and let them know you'd like to add an eCommerce terminal to your account for Active-e

Important:

OpenEdge has different integrations depending on your website platform.

Please be sure you tell them that you're using Active-e so they will give you the correct eCommerce account.

*Do NOT tell them you're using Asp.Net for your website!!

You're using "AIM Storefront with Active-e"

The rep at OpenEdge may ask you if you'd like the 'limited support' account that uses Auth.net. This is the WRONG account.

Once OpenEdge has built your eCommerce terminal, you should receive an email from them that looks similar to this:

Start by logging into /aesys and then go to Configuration > Settings and search for OpenEdge. You will be prompted for your

  • AeCCDeviceID - use your OpenEdge Terminal ID
  • aeCCTransactionKey - use your OpenEdge Authkey
  • Processor Type (You need to enter a single O in the value here - DO NOT use a zero)

Next, you'll need to search the website settings for aeCCMID and set that to your OpenEdge X-Web ID

After all values are saved, click the Refresh Store button at the top of the /aesys page.

*When testing make sure that you are using live transactions by changing the website setting "UseLiveTransactions" to True

WorldPay/Vantiv/Mercury

If you would like to use WorldPay as your payment processor, please reach out to Tri-Tech for assistance in securing the correct account type. When your account is set with WorldPay, you should receive a pdf of your account information that looks like this:

Please follow the instructions in the pdf to complete the merchant setup of your account, if necessary. You will also need to contact Tri-Tech to make sure that your account is set up in AIM properly.

Finally, you'll want to log into /aesys panel of your AIMStorefront and set up your website to be able to use the payment process to send orders to AIM. Please follow these steps:

Start by logging into /aesys and then go to Configuration > Settings and search for "aecc". You will see 8 settings, but you'll only need to set 4 of them.

  • Set aeCCLane to "1"
  • Set aeCCType to "M"
  • Set aeCCMID to the "Processing MerchantID" provided by Worldpay
  • Set AeCCPassword to the "Web Service Password" provided by Worldpay

  • After all values are saved, click the Refresh Store button at the top of the /aesys page.
